Sylvan Beach Sunset

Sylvan Beach in Upstate New York is a great place to catch a beautiful sunset, on the enormous Oneida Lake. For this image, I used a long exposure time to give the water a very “smooth” look, because Oneida Lake is not known for being a still lake. [exif id=”482″]

Christmas Tree at Clinton Square, Syracuse

Sometimes when you are photographing a certain subject matter, it’s best to look at the surroundings. What makes this image work for me is not the lit Christmas tree in Clinton Square itself, but a combination of the tree and it’s reflection in the freshly resurfaced ice. [exif id=”479″]

Swamp Road Reflection

Swamp Road is a majestic road just Northeast of Phoenix, NY. The long road is bordered by a swamp on each side, and features beautiful trees almost perfectly aligned, hugging the road on each side.
