Pixley Falls State Park is a tranquil, slice of heaven located a few miles Southwest of Boonville, NY. The trails through the park are calm, easy, and relaxing; containing lots of small streams, waterfalls, and boardwalks – just make sure to bring bug spray during the Summer. Here’s a small stream that drops down a small waterfall into the lower part of the park.
[exif id=”383″]Further down one of the trails, there’s a nice bridge that crosses a small drop. With the light of the afternoon Sun penetrating the trees, it creates a wonderful sense of tranquility.
[exif id=”384″]Of course the main attraction is Pixley Falls itself. On a hot summer day, it’s nice to venture to the base of the falls where the mist is cool and refreshing in the shade. Step out into the water to cool your feet off, and listen to the sound of the falls while you read a book or take a nap.
