Delta Lake, north of Rome in New York is a reservoir that once didn’t exist. Long ago, there used to be a small village named Delta, and the ruins now lie below the water of Delta Lake. A dam was built in 1908 to create the reservoir and ensure the Erie Canal would have enough water. Today, Delta Lake State Park is a great park to have a barbeque, see the wildlife such as geese, and watch a beautiful Sunset.
