Introduction to Landscape 101

With my Landscape 101 series of tutorials, I hope to teach you the fundamentals of good landscape photography. These tutorials will assume that you already know the basics of photography, such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and that you also know how to use your camera.

I will show you essential gear to have, how to find the right light, how to compose your scene, when to use filters, and even post processing.

There is no right or wrong approach to landscape photography. What I will be showing you is my approach. My techniques rarely incorporate HDR photography; I instead use graduated ND filters and polarizers to balance the light of the scene out in a more natural looking way.
